Amber deposits have been laid down between the Carboniferous and Miocene geological periods, 360 to 20 million years ago. A single deposit may in its self have been laid down over a wide time range, in one instance over 49 million years. This page lists all the significant deposits in two ways; the first lists details deposits in terms of their geological age. The second list simply lists all the geographic sites for amber deposits.
